(For the purposes of Smiling Archdemon, Kara has regained her sanity but never lost her inner rage, she quit the Red Lanterns but kept the ring, roaming the cosmos as a rogue Red Lantern, eventually ending up on Earth running into Elana. Kara's ring is strangely, largely immune to feelings of love. Normally feeling love will cause a Red Power Ring to abandon its user but in Kara's case, love just makes her ring weaker. She was also exposed to Pink Kryptonite for an extended period of time at some point before meeting Elana, rendering her permanently homosexual.)
